World’s Biggest Disc Golf Weekend is an international public event dedicated to spreading the sport of disc golf through a weekend of fun and friendly Disc Golf events.  The originator of this event, John Houck, of Wimberly, Texas, began “Worlds Biggest” Weekends to encourage the local community to get exposed to disc golf as a sport and as a community. 

  This year, 2014, is the 25rd year of World’s Biggest, with events taking place across the country and internationally, all on the first weekend of May. 

The West Sound Disc Golf Association is in its fifth year of participation in a World’s Biggest event, and this year looks to be a fun and enjoyable series of events for those who will participate.  Our local event will be comprised of four events, over the two days of May 3th and May 4th, on three of our local West Sound Disc Golf Association supported courses. 

  The mission statement of the “Worlds Biggest” event speaks to an encouragement to have all events be more centered on fun than competition.  A low-intimidation atmosphere is encouraged, with extra emphasis on providing a venue for new players to try disc golf and interact with the disc golf community.

Come join us for this event.  Attend one or all of the events.  Visit a course you perhaps have not played before.  Invite a friend, and help introduce a new player to our exciting, rewarding, and growing sport!
